MAYOMOLD
The MAYOMOLD immobilization system was patterned after the system developed by Dr. Charles Mayo and his team at UMASS Memorial Medical Center. The MAYOMOLD is designed to allow stereotactic-like precision in the head and neck region. The improved accuracy allows attainable shrinking of plan position margins to more effectively spare normal tissues such as the brain stem, optic nerves and optic chiasm. The MAYOMOLD system combines CDR Thermosheet technology with our IFF03 Foam System, producing consistent results for patients requiring absolute positioning in the head and neck region.
